How often do overdrive pedal promise warm “tube” sounds and then play like a nasal intubation and are overly compressed? A veritable caricature of the tube sound, which covers the features of the instrument used and makes it completely unclear.
The Watt-drive is a completely different concept of overdrive: maximum dynamics, powerful attack, very clear sound with full bodied definition of each frequency.
The Watt-drive enhances the character of the instrument, starts from a clean boost and then increases the saturation that becomes overdrive.
The Boost footswitch adds distortion / volume that can be equalized with the control knob (bass boost to the left, flat in the middle, treble boost to the right).
Find yourself having the sensations typically associated with a good 100w amp at high volume: a sound not too biased, but very powerful and responsive if you play aggressive, and extremely soft and smooth if you play gently.
